Do you offer daycare/boarding services?

As a pet sitter, all of our services are conducted in the comfort of your own home, not ours. Boarding and daycare services are provided either in a facility or sometimes at a caretaker's home requiring transportation.

I usually use a neighbor or family member. Why should I hire you?

Being able to trust someone to care for your pets while you are away is so important. If the resource is available, why not use a trusted person or family member? The answer is sometimes learned the hard way. Accidents happen. As a professional pet sitter, we carry insurance and a bond. This protects you, your pets, and your home in the event of an accident or mishap. It is financial responsibility to ensure you are covered if something happens to your pet or property while in our care. Aside from financial responsibility, we also take very seriously the care of your pets. We pursue educational opportunities to learn about different types of pets and pet behaviors. This allows us the ability to become an invaluable resource to you as a pet parent and gives us the ability to be the best caretakers possible for your pets.

What is your service area?

Our base operations is in Macedonia and so we generally serve areas within a 10-mile radius. That does not mean other areas cannot be served, it would just incurr a mileage fee of $1 for every mile outside of our area for each visit.

I have more than one pet, Is there an additional charge?

No, the more the merrier! While we do not charge based on number of pets, we do charge by time. If you have many pets or there are special needs, a visit may take longer. If a visit takes longer than the time you originally booked, there will be additional charges. We do everything we can to get all of the necessary care duties completed within your booked time. It's important to keep in mind that what could normally be completed quickly for you, may not be possible for someone else. Especially if a pet becomes difficult or is very anxious/shy at first. It is also important to be mindful of the time you book to allow actual quality time with your pets and not just to complete the basic care duties like feeding and going potty.

Does the same person come to pet sit for me?

Fueled by Fur Pet Care is a small business. We have grown over time and have had the ability to hire employees. We are still very small however, and many services are still completed either by the owner and/or the owner's husband. Having employees, we do intend to utilize their help and compensate them for their time. We do all we can to try and keep the same person(s) with the same client but it may not always be possible. We understand that the privacy and security of your home is important. All employees are thoroughly screened and must pass a state and federal fingerprint-based background check as well as a lab-based drug test. All employees are also fully insured and bonded by our company.
